Accordion Show
The accordion is in a wide variety of musical genres, mainly in traditional and popular music. In some regions, such as Europe and North-America it has become mainly restricted to traditional, folk and ethnic music. In other regions such as Mexico, the instrument is very popular in genres like Norteño, and in Brazil, it is a fixture in popular music styles as Sertanejo and Forró. In art music it is used in jazz music, an important exponent having been the North American accordionist Frank Marocco and in transcriptions from the operatic and light-classical music repertoire.
Aleksei Chebeliuk was born in Russia on November 16, 1989. He started learning accordion at the age of 7. By the time he turned 9 he participated and won a few regional and provincial competitions. Since 1999 to 2007 he won over 30 competitions including Russian National Competition of Accordion and played over 100 performances.
At 19 years of age he formed a cover band Smile Band and for 5 years was the sole producer and concert tour manager of this band. Aleksei was also a producer to the other bands and solo artists in his home city. During this time he has been published in Russian Magazines, invited on Federal Radio Stations and Local TV's.
In 2015 Aleksei moved to the US and since then have been working in the Entertainment Industry. As an accordionist he played over 200 shows all over the US, released his first CD and played 3 concerts in Los Angeles, San Diego and Salt Lake City and composed a music for ABC Studio. Right now he lives in Miami and works all over the US.
